Description
This unique, weeping Full Moon maple has tiny, lacy, light green leaves shaped like nearly circular snowflakes. Leaves develop orange margins in full sun and turn a blend of yellow and orange in fall. Thought to be a cross between palmatum and shirasawanum maples, the low, wide tree has characteristics of both. Its red flowers and upright chartreuse-pink seeds point to shirasawanum parentage; the dissected foliage looks like a laceleaf palmatum parent. Dissectum.
