INFORMATION
Once you have found the right tree for your project, you will see one to several size options listed that you must choose from before you add it to your cart. What exactly do those sizes (like #3 container) mean?
All our plants are sold by their container size, except when listed as BULK/bareroot. Container sizes range from 4 inch to 200 gallon nursery pot or wooden crate. The container size options are as follows:

Our potted trees have different heights depending on their age and growth rate. The chart below demonstrates this comparison. These heights are an estimate and can vary depending on the tree’s age and variety.

- Available in Container Sizes: 1-300 gallons
- Tree Height: 16″+
- Trunk Height: 12-24″+
All trees that are grafted on a standard will have a tall trunk/high graft to make the tree look like a lollipop. The trunks for these will start at a foot tall and will get taller from there. They are available in 1-300 gallon containers.
4″ Container

Container Size
Trees in a 4″ container will have a height of about 6-10″ tall. The container itself will measure 4″ across. It is our smallest size option that we offer.

All plants in Tree Pots (same as Band Pots) will have a height that is about 6-10″ tall. The container itself will measure approximately 7″x2.5″.

Jr. Specimens are in a #10 container and are usually at least 24″ and up to 5′ tall. This is the largest plant size we can ship in cardboard boxes.

A large specimen size will be in a container that is greater than a #10 gallon size. Since these are so large, they are custom freight shipped. Heights of these will often be taller than 6 feet or too heavy to ship in a box.

CK also offers InstantHedge® products so that one can have a mature hedge to create privacy, a noise barrier, or add a formal design border to the landscape. These come in MiniHedge and InstantHedge size options. Heights of MiniHedges can range from 18-24″ tall. InstantHedges come in height options of 3-4′, 4-5′, and 5-6′.
